Silica Bubble Tabs is a Silicate and Potassium fertilizer that increases crop yield and quality by providing essential silicic acid for crops. This fertilizer is widely used in agriculture to improve crop yield, fortify resistance against diseases and pests, enhance environmental stress tolerance, including drought and cold weather, and elevate overall crop quality. Nousbo Silica Bubble Tabs fertilizer was evaluated for its efficacy for Rice production from June to October, 2016 at Barangay San Agustin, Victoria, Tarlac, the Philippines.

Silica Bubble Tabs Fertilizer at various rates applied as broadcasting method at 25 and 45 days after transplanting were evaluated on its effect on the growth and yield of rice plants planted on plots fertilized with inorganic fertilizer. Key parameters, including plant height, the number of productive tillers, 1000-grain weight, and yield in tons per hectare, were meticulously analyzed. Here's a summary of the findings:

Yield and growth parameters of Rice affected by various kinds of fertilizers in Philippines

Findings showed that application of Silica Tabs Fertilizer at the rate of 2RR (5 kg/ha) at 25 DAT in combination with inorganic fertilizer applied at the rate of 120-20-60 kg NPK/ha produced the tallest plants at harvest, highest number of productive tiller, heaviest weight of 1000 grains, and highest grain yield in tons per hectare. Highest grain yield of 9 tons/ha was attained by the application of Silica Tabs Fertilizer at the rate of 5 kg/ha applied at 25 days after transplanting plus the application of recommended rate of inorganic fertilizer. At harvest, Silica Tabs applied alone at the rate of 5 kg/ha produced higher plants compared to that of RRIF application alone. Application of Silica Tabs alone or with inorganic fertilizer applied produced heights at 30 DAT and at harvest which were significantly taller than the unfertilized plants. Plants sprayed with Silica Tabs alone were more effective in tillers number than the application of inorganic fertilizer alone and significantly produced better results compared to the control.

These results suggest that treatments leading to taller plants and higher yields were likely attributed to well-balanced nutrients provided by Silica Bubble Tabs. Inorganic-fertilized plots enriched with Silica Tabs played a significant role in increasing plant height and yield compared to plots with inorganic fertilizer alone. This underscores the beneficial impact of Silica Bubble Tabs when used in conjunction with inorganic fertilizer to boost rice yield, highlighting their complementarity in meeting the nutrient requirements of rice plants.
